The merged U9 team of the Tigers and Titans proved to be roaring success finishing top of their group after the competition split and went on to win all their remaining games and were crowned Premiers after defeating the Como Crocs 42-12 in the Grand Final.
It was a convincing win for the U9's who were put under pressure initially and had to defend their line in the first quarter but they eventually discovered their scoring form and ran out easy winners in the end. It was a great team effort in difficult playing conditions with the team tackling strongly sniffing out all Croc attacks and attacking with speed and looked like scoring on almost every break.
The U9's record for 2020 was Played 9, Won 6, Drawn 0 and Lost 3 scoring 310 points and conceding just 164. Stand out games included the 50-6 defeat of Gymea in Round 1 and the 60-0 win against Engadine Dragons in Round 4, which was as complete a team performance as you are likely to see this season.
The whole team lifted this year and everyone played a role in making the team a strong attacking force. Harlan, Angus, Jonathon, Cooper and Alexander scored a bagful of tries from their strong running and they were well supported by Aiden, Ethan K, Lachlan and Logan who tackled well and covered a great deal of ground throughout each game. Ethan M, Robert, Zalyah and Kylani also enjoyed stand out seasons and made some great runs and strong tackles to add to the overall strength of this team.
