Tiger Talk

Hi Everyone and welcome to another Tiger Talk update. We are in our second week of training and it has been great to reconnect with players and families over the last couple of weeks. We have a number of updates from the JRL to share with you this week:

  • The JRL have finalised the 2020 season format and there will be 10 competition rounds starting on July 18 with no weekends off

  • The last competition round will take place on the weekend of September 19/20th

  • Grand Finals will be played on the weekend of September 26/27th and this will be played between teams finishing 1st and 2nd in their respective divisions

  • Player registrations although open all season need to be finalised by July 1st to enable the JRL finalise the competition schedule

We appreciate the efforts of all parents, coaches and trainers in assisting us to stay Covid safe and we remind everybody to follow the health and hygiene recommendations and maintain social distancing.

Training nights for Tigers teams are as below and these are subject to change over the coming weeks and please stay in touch with your team manager and coach for updates. Please ensure that you continue to follow the get in-train-get out approach and as before, we ask all parents and spectators to watch from their vehicle or on the sideline with appropriate social distancing

Tue U13's 5:30 pm-6:30 pm

JRL Referees 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Wed U6's and U7's 4:00 pm-5:30 pm

Thu U9's and U10 4:30 pm-6:00 pm

U12's 5:00 pm-6:00 pm

U13's 5:30 pm-6:30 pm

U16's 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

We also ask all teams to ensure the ground lights are turned off after training and the club house and store rooms are locked.

There has been a bit of movement with teams and the merged U12's team with St Pat's will now be a Yarrawarrah Tigers stand alone team and we are currently in discussions with the Taren Point Titans to field a merged U9's team in this seasons competition if parents and players agree to this move. All other teams remain as planned and we will keep everyone updated with any changes should they arise.

We ask all Tigers managers and coaches to become familiar with the new MySideline site which replaces the old MyLeague Manager App. This new site is a web based platform with new and improved features and as a manager or coach you will have access to live scoring, team lists, match day cards and a COVID-Safe training attendance feature, anywhere and anytime from your mobile phone. We suggest prior to accessing the platform that all Managers complete the 30 minute MySideline Manager Course to ensure you understand the "ins and outs" of how to use the tool. For more information about MySideline Manager, and to enrol in the course head to PlayRugbyLeague.com/Manager.

Stay safe and we look forward to welcoming everybody back to the club.
