Just imagine it...
Your little cub, dressed in full Tigers kit, running out under the Tigers colours, with Eye of the Tiger, blaring out over the speaker, a big smile on their face...
It's enough to make you emotional...
If you have a footy mad 3-5 year old who is keen to show off their skills, or you may have a younger sibling who would love to emulate their older brother or sister, then the Tiger Cub Program may be your answer.
What is Tiger Cubs?
The Tiger Cub Program is a new initiative of the Yarrawarrah Tigers working with children 3-5 years of age. Tiger Cubs is a fun and active program that encourages kids to be physically active with an emphasis on gross motor skills and movement. We do this within a rugby themed environment and many of the activities have been adapted to suit from regular training sessions. The focus is on fun and participation and is a great confidence builder for young children.
The Program will run over 8 weeks and coincide with the regular JRL season. All sessions will be held at Yarrawarrah Oval and will usually last an hour. There will be time before and after each session to socialise and ask questions.
If this sounds like the program for you then please go to the NRL website (link is below) and search for the Yarrawarrah Tigers. Registration is free and you need to register as Player/Tackle in the U5 Age Group.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Tigers and the Cub Program and you can keep up to date with Club activities by visiting our Facebook page and club website. You can also download a flyer about the Tiger Cub Program by clicking on the button below.
