This Saturday marked the final round of the regular season and also celebrated Women In League. This years' theme is "from strength to strength" which is certainly true of the Tigers performances this year. We appreciate all the Mums, Daughters, Grandmothers and Aunties who are the lifeblood of our club and make enormous sacrifices to make sure our players enjoy their season. Thank You.

There was still a great deal to play for, as some teams battled to reach the Grand Final and others wanted to finish their season off in style. We pass on our commiserations to the U10's team who were pipped to a Grand Final appearance by Gymea on points difference, despite never losing to them in the season. However we do have some good news, with 2 teams representing the club in Grand Finals. Congratulations to the merged Tigers-Titans U9's team and the U13's team who both meet the Como Crocs for the Premiership next week. We also want to acknowledge and congratulate the U6 Blue team for getting their first points of the season after an exciting draw 64-64 against Gymea.

We wish the two Grand Finals teams well next week and we also want to pass on our appreciation and thanks to all Tigers Coaches, Managers and Trainers for doing such a great job throughout the year. Thank You.

It may well have taken until the very last game of the season but the Blues are on the board and what a performance and what a game to end on. Hayden Walker scored the match levelling try after the final siren, after some great lead up play by Malachi Kane. This was a great effort by the Blues who have shown real improvement in recent weeks. Aston Gibbons and Hayden Walker scored the majority of tries with 8 and 7 respectively and Malachi Kane also got over the line with his first ever try for the Blues. Malachi Kane was awarded the Player of the Game for his all round effort and Arlo Gibbons was awarded the Spirit Award for a great effort on the pitch. A Big Tigers Shout-Out to Tyler, Kylie and Grant for all your support, encouragement and organisation and for making the season so memorable for the players and families.

Another high scoring game from the Yellows who also drew with Gymea in the first game of the season 56-56, that's an unbelievable 272 points scored over the 2 games and it is fair to say that both of these teams love to attack. Charlotte Dart top scored with 7 tries and was well supported by Charlize Dance with 6 and Jake McMillan with 4. Sonny also scored a double and Kade also crossed the try line to complete the scoring. Jake McMillan was awarded the Player of the Game Award for his try scoring and strong tackling and Charlize, Sonny and Marley were all awarded the Spirit Award for their efforts. A Big Tigers Shout-Out to Shane, Lara and David for your enthusiasm and encouragement and for making this season such a great experience for every involved in the team.

U7 Red Yarrawarrah Tigers 12 Gymea Gorillas 76

The U7 Red team faced another heavy defeat to end the season but never gave up and showed great spirit and determination against a strong Gorillas team. Hayden Walker scored 2 tries and Harrison Long got the other try and despite the scoreline there were a number of positives for the team. Ruben McCarthy had a standout game and was awarded Player of the Game. He tackled throughout the game and made some strong runs and really enjoyed himself against some strong players. Aston Gibbons was awarded the Spirit Award for his encouragement and strong running. The team can take some encouragement from what proved to be a testing season and they showed real improvement in the second half of the season. A Big Tigers Shout-Out to Andrew, Joel and Kylie for your constant encouragement over the season and for always seeing the positives from every game. Thanks to all the players and families for making the season such fun.

U9 Tigers/Titans 52 Como Crocs 36

The merged Tigers-Titans scored a morale boosting victory against their Grand Final opponents in an entertaining game. The U9's are playing with real confidence and go into next weeks Grand Final as clear favourites. The team plays with real energy and a fair amount of flair and every player knows their role and makes a contribution. Good Luck to the U9's in their Grand Final appearance and all Tigers will be cheering you on via the TV screen.

U10 Yarrawarrah Tigers 20 Gymea Gorillas 20

This game had it all, excitement, drama and some fantastic sportsmanship from all players. Trailing 14-0 at half time it looked like the Gorillas were going to cruise to an easy victory after scoring 3 tries and never looking troubled. The second half was a different game altogether and the famous Tigers spirit kicked in the boys worked themselves back into the game. First Kai Goody scored in the corner to make it 14-4. Then Dane Buman scored after a strong run through the defensive line to make it 14-10 and then after the 3rd quarter siren, Zac Porter scored an amazing team try to level the scores 14-14.

In the final quarter Gymea crossed after a couple of penalties to go 20-14 in front and then Ethan Coleman scored in the corner to tie the game 20-20. The Tigers were unable to make another score and after a gallant effort to get back in the game after being 14-0 down, it's Gymea who progress to next weeks Grand Final against Aquinas by having a better points difference. A Big Tigers Shout-Out to Aaron, Amanda, Harrison and Gerome for supporting the team throughout the season and although it was a disappointing way to bow out of the competition it was another memorable season for all involved.

U13 Yarrawarrah Tigers 44 Gymea Gorillas 6

The U13's finished off the regular season in convincing style with a strong performance against Gymea. The whole team played well but the forwards; Albie Lamaro, Blake Burke Ashton Elsner and Harrison Melbourne deserve special praise as they set up this win with some strong attack which put the Gorillas on the back foot for the whole game. Albi and Alex scored two tries each and Kobi, Finny, Jacob and Rangi all got on the scoreboard too.

This was the complete performance by the U13's who were strong in defence and attacked from all positions and all points of the park. Alex controlled the Tigers attacks, Zinny and Luke were strong on the edges and all players supported the runners in readiness for an offload. Next week the team meet Como Crocs in the Grand Final and it promises to be a cracking game as the Tigers have something to prove after going down to the Crocs earlier in the season. A Big Tigers Shout-Out to Jack, Darren, Pete and Ben for their support and guidance over the season and we are all behind you in next weeks Grand Final.
