The 2020 season is just around the corner. Training is well under way, trial games are being organised and team rosters are close to completion.
The Yarrawarrah Tigers have been a part of the Cronulla-Sutherland District Rugby Football League since 1978. We are a small club, with few resources but what we lack in money, we more than make up for in spirit and tenacity. We are a proud club that has punched above our weight for many years. Our teams play a fast and skilful brand of footy that is easy on the eye and despite being the underdog season after season, we often play finals and we have won our fair share of premierships.
We are a hands-on club that is family orientated and places a high value on participation and involvement. When you sign for the Tigers you know you will get a game and you will be part of the team-always. We take great pride in the fact that we are first and foremost an inclusive club, that supports and encourages our players to be the best they can, on and off the field.
The 2020 season is very much a re-building year for the Tigers as many of the senior players have either hung up their boots or joined a bigger club. Our junior teams have been well supported and we are looking forward to welcoming our tiger cubs who are playing league for the first time this year. We also have a good crop of junior players who are keen to take the next step in their development and be a competitive force week in-week out in the local competition.
We still have places available for players who are looking to play in the U7, U8 and U9 competitions and our U11, U12 and U13 teams would love to welcome some new players into their teams and squad.
If you a player that is still undecided about who to play for this year, we would encourage you to join the Tigers and play your part in creating a new legacy for the club. Also, if you have signed for a team that is over registered and it is likely that you will get limited game time, why not consider the Tigers where you will be guaranteed a starting spot and more than that, your contribution would be welcomed and appreciated.
