2020 Season Announcement

We are 3 days away from the expected announcement by the NSW Community Rugby League Association and the Cronulla and Sutherland Junior Rugby Football League (CSJRFL) that junior footy is back. This is great news for the players and community and we know that all clubs who make up the CSJRFL are excited to see some football being played this year.

We know that the relevant sporting bodies have been working closely with the NSW Department of Health to develop a road-map to ensure players and spectators are kept safe when the season begins. This road-map outlines the steps and measures all clubs will have to take to ensure training and game days provide the safest environment for players and spectators.

We already know that some of the measures that have been discussed include;

  • A limit on the number of spectators at each game and social distancing requirements will need to be observed

  • Bars and BBQ's will not be open on game days

  • All spectators will have to sign in and leave contact details if contact tracing is required

  • Changing rooms will be closed on game day

  • Clubs will have to nominate a Covid-19 Safety Officer and sanitise and clean high traffic areas on match days

We would like to assure all Tigers players, parents and supporters that we will be taking every precaution to ensure that we comply with all of the safety measures recommended by the CSJRFL and we will be in regular contact with club members to keep you updated on announcements and changes.

In the mean time, we would love you to make contact with the club or your team managers to let us know whether you are still keen to play this season. After the announcement on June 1, we will have to finalise our playing numbers and teams with the CSJRFL so the competition and draw can be finalised.

See you soon and we will be in touch again after June 1.
